Senator Takubo moved to amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting therefore a new title, to read as follows:

Eng. Com. Sub. for House Bill 2007— A Bill to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as

amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §30-3-20; and to further amend said code by adding thereto a new section, designated §30-14-17, all relating to prohibiting certain medical practices related to minors and gender reassignment; providing definitions; providing that allopathic and osteopathic physicians may not provide irreversible gender reassignment surgery or medications for purposes of gender alteration as defined herein to a person who is under 18 years of age; and  providing criteria for certain limited exceptions to these prohibitions.
